Heating a solid aluminum rod with a gas torch and bending it—there’s a simple, almost childlike sense of wonder in watching a hard, metallic material twist and curl like a piece of string. From the playful curves, and within the fixed constraint of mounting them on a wall, came the idea of hooks. Around this concept emerged prototypes, by-products, and applied works.
