WaNaは、工芸作家の渡部萌と永瀬二郎のユニット活動です。
私たちはそれぞれの専門性を持ってものづくりをする作家として活動しています。
一つの事を積み重ねていく日々の制作の反面、
それとは別のやり方で作ったり考えたりを試してみたくなります。
日々感じては通り過ぎてしまいがちな興味の枝分かれや、疑問に改めて取り組む時間のためにWaNaの活動があります。

WaNa is a collaborative project by craft artists Moe Watanabe and Jiro Nagase.

Each of us works independently as a maker, rooted in our own areas of expertise.

Alongside the daily practice of building something up, one piece at a time,we sometimes feel the urge to try different ways of thinking and making.

WaNa exists to give space to those side branches of interest—the fleeting curiosities and quiet questions that might otherwise pass us by.
It’s a way for us to return to them, and spend time with them again.

今年から山梨にある渡部の高祖父母の代から続く家屋に拠点を移し、WaNaはこの家での生活を中心に、制作や企画、探求をしていきます。

山梨のこの場所で催しをする前の練習として、まずはWaNaの旧拠点、東京・東高円寺でWaNa shopを開催します。

This year, WaNa has moved its base to a house in Yamanashi that has been in Watanabe’s family since the time of his great-great-grandparents.
From now on, our work, planning, and exploration will center around our life in this home.

As a kind of rehearsal before holding events in Yamanashi,
we’re first opening WaNa shop at our former base in Higashi-Koenji, Tokyo.
